Latin America's Top Dining & Restaurant Apps Q4 2020 Performance Overview

As the fourth quarter of 2020 unfolded, dining and restaurant apps continued to play a crucial role in Latin America's mobile ecosystem. Sensor Tower's analysis offers a clear picture of how these apps fared during this period.

McDonald's Offers and Delivery saw a consistent download trend, starting the quarter with approximately 248K downloads and peaking at 377K in late November, before settling at around 241K by year-end. Weekly active users (WAUs) fluctuated, reaching a high of 2.2M in November and closing the quarter with nearly 1.9M users.

Burger King Brasil experienced similar download numbers, beginning with roughly 155K and reaching a peak of 228K in the third week of November. The app ended the quarter with about 152K downloads. The trend in WAUs showed a rise to 1.2M in November, followed by a slight decrease to 1.1M by the end of December.

Habib's download numbers were lower but showed a substantial increase in mid-November, hitting 116K before dropping to 62K by the end of December. The WAUs for Habib's saw a peak of 246K also in November, with a decrease to 188K in the final week of 2020.

Domino's Pizza México started the quarter with downloads at 58K and experienced a steady increase, reaching 95K by the close of December. The WAUs for Domino's showed an upward trend, concluding the quarter at a high of 365K users.

Lastly, the KFC APP (Ecu, Col, Chi, Arg) had a quieter quarter in terms of downloads, with an initial 62K downloads and peaking at around 80K in late December. The WAUs saw a gradual increase, ending the quarter with approximately 299K active users.
